3. Sampeng Market

Bangkok’s Chinatown is one of the most enthralling and exciting parts of the city, therefore it stands to reason that the Sampeng Market is also a joyous place to visit. Although located in Chinatown, this market is actually one of the best places to visit to sample authentic Thai street food. The narrow alleys or Sampeng are truly magnificent to explore – the place is heaving with activity and you will have to sometimes fight your way through the traders, transport dollies and stalls.

4. Pratunam Market

Located in the trendy Pratunam district, the Pratunam Market is one of the largest wholesale fashion markets in Bangkok. If you want to indulge and treat yourself to a new outfit or three then this is the place to come! As the market is predominantly wholesale, you will see a large number of foreign business types looking for an investment, but don’t let that put you off. 5. Wang Lang Market
 

If you head across the Chao Phraya River opposite the Grand Palace you will find the Wang Lang Market. This market is a student’s paradise and has some wonderfully cheap bargains available for those who enjoy the hunt. Wang Lang is also a great place to pick up some tasty treats and try some delicious street food – you can find a range of authentic stalls selling some mouth-watering cooked snacks.
